Who we are

Diamond Cut Rimz Ltd, company number SC694781, registered in Scotland. Our workshop and correspondence address is Block 7, Larkhall Industrial Estate, 2 Thankerton Road, Larkhall ML9 2PA.

We are the data controller for the information described here. For anything in this policy, contact us at help@diamondcutrimz.co.uk or on 01698 640 171.

What we collect

When you use the quote form on this site we collect your name, your telephone number, and whatever you write in the message field. That is the whole of it. The form does not ask for an address, a date of birth or payment details, and you should not put them in the message.

If you contact us by telephone, WhatsApp or email instead, we hold whatever you choose to tell us in that conversation.

If you go on to become a customer, we keep a record of the work carried out and how to contact you about it.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

To answer your enquiry and give you a price. Under UK data protection law the lawful basis for this is that you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract with you.

To carry out the work and stand behind it if you go ahead. The basis is performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in keeping a record of what we did to a vehicle in case a question arises later.

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not send newsletters, and we do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for their own purposes.

Who processes it for us

The quote form on this site is delivered by FormSubmit, a third party form service. When you submit the form your details pass through their systems and arrive in our inbox. They act as a processor on our behalf.

Our email is hosted by our email provider, so anything you send us sits on their servers as well as ours.

Nobody else receives your enquiry.

Other services on this website

The map on our contact page is embedded from Google Maps. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies in your browser. That is Google acting on its own account and is covered by their privacy policy rather than ours.

Some photographs are served from a third party image host, which likewise receives your IP address as part of delivering the image.

Web fonts are served from this website itself rather than fetched from a font provider, so no request about you goes to a font company when you visit.

We do not currently run website analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts of our own. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it does.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for up to twelve months and then deleted. That is long enough to pick up a conversation you come back to.

Customer records are kept for six years after the work. That reflects how long a claim relating to the work could reasonably be brought under Scots law, and how long we may need to evidence what we did.

You can ask us to delete your details sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep them.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to us holding it. There is no charge and we will respond within one month.

Write to help@diamondcutrimz.co.uk or to the workshop address above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so that we can put it right.

Changes
