  • Our own workshop

The lathe, the booth and the oven are all in one unit in Larkhall. Nothing is sent out to anyone else.

  • Collected and returned

We come to you across central Scotland and bring the wheels back balanced and ready to fit.

  • Guaranteed, or redone

If you are not happy with the finish, we redo it. One workshop did the work, so there is nobody else to blame.

The problem

What a full refurbishment covers

Refurbishment is the whole job rather than one stage of it. Tyres off, old finish stripped to bare alloy, damage repaired, the wheel refinished by the correct method for that wheel, then tyres refitted and balanced before the set goes back on the car.

Which finish a wheel gets depends on what it started as. Factory diamond cut wheels are recut on the lathe and lacquered. Painted and powder coated wheels are stripped and coated again. Getting that decision right is most of the work.

Everything happens here

The lathe, the blasting, the coating and the oven are all in the same unit in Larkhall. Nothing is subcontracted out to a third party and nothing leaves the premises part finished.

That matters for two reasons. Each stage gets checked before the wheel moves to the next one, so a problem is caught while it can still be fixed rather than discovered after the lacquer is on. And when you ring to ask where your wheels are, the person answering can walk over and look at them.

Collection and return

We collect across central Scotland and bring the wheels back when they are finished, balanced and ready to fit. For most customers that means the car is off the road for a short period rather than a week, and no time is spent driving wheels around.

If you would rather bring the car to us, the workshop is on Larkhall Industrial Estate, a few minutes from junction 7 of the M74.

Drivers who came to us

My 23 year old motorcycle wheels had had a hard life and had built up quite a bit of corrosion. Diamond managed to get rid of all of it and the wheels have turned out fantastic. They even powder coated an awkward sprocket carrier.

Common questions

How long does a full refurbishment take?
Most sets turn around in a couple of days once they are in the workshop. Wheels needing structural repair or a two stage colour take longer. We give you a timescale with the quote rather than after we have your wheels.
Do you refurbish split rim and forged wheels?
Yes. Split rims are stripped and refinished section by section, and forged wheels go through the same sequence as cast ones. Older sets with heavy corrosion are a regular job here.
Can you change the colour while you are at it?
Yes. Since the wheel is going back to bare metal anyway, a colour change costs no more work than putting the original colour back on. Silver to satin black is the most common request.
Do the tyres need to come off?
Yes, always. Refinishing with tyres fitted leaves the bead area untouched, which is exactly where corrosion takes hold, and no oven cure is possible with rubber on the rim.
